Goodbye, Farewell and Amen!
Agreed, not the most original words....I stole the title from the last episode from the TV series M*A*S*H when I was in high school. In reality, I left Littleton over a month ago. I am now in New Orleans and my wonderful workers Rose Cordero and David Ackerman were running the Old Post Office Bakery while I was away.
The bakery has since been sold to Julie Pech, a dear friend of mine. When the new store opens it will called "The Chocalate Theraprist" You can see her on KRMA TV-6 in Denver on Saturday afternoons to get the idea.
I think, In the agony of parting do we look into the depths of love.  I have met so many wonderful customers in Littleton which makes leaving so difficult. Goodbyes are not as painful unless you are not going to say "Hello" again. Truthfully, I will be down here in New Orleans for a long time for family reasons.
The woman whom purchased my store is very talented and I wished I were still in Littleton to see what creations she has for her customers. When her store opens please click on http://www.thechocolatetherapist.com Julie possesses a lot of talents and I am honored to have her purchase my business .To my customers - true friendship has a happy ending & I have no snappy comments of what you have meant to me.
Just remember me and THe Old Post  Office Bakery - and smile. For it is better   to  forget both of us and smile. This hurts me deeply writing this and I am truly in tears. You Littleton friends have meant soooo much to me. My real tears are something that I cannot express with damned words on the Internet.
Just because you and I played the Parker Brothers game - does not mean we know about Life.
And in the name of Facebook and the likewise websites - true love and sorrow go hand to hand like Shakespeare

My new store will be on The French Quarter soon!

Welcome to my website. As always, I want to thank you for your patronage and support.I will share with you later on the plans on the future of The Old Post Office Bakery.

.

Truthfully, I have plans on my business which I will share with you later. Certainly, you have noticed that I have not updated my website. My mom passed away last month and I have been distracted from the mundane life functions from which you and I operate on a daily basis.

.

Without updating my website, I want to thank the Colorado residents who helped purchase my Mother's Day treats and raised $8,500 for The Gathering Place. Those homeless women and children appreciate your support.

.It has been been a priviledge meeting all of you in Colorado. You have meant soooo much to me. But I am back in my childhood birthplace of New Orleans. I have yet to open up a new bakery or art gallery but this will happen soon. I truly love ALL of you!!!

.

"Je t'aime mes clients préférés - merci beaucoup." My Cajun blessings to all of you who have made this former Postal Worker become part of America's self-made citizens.

.

We can't be all rich Americans in this republic but we can all be patriots - doing our best with our g-d given ability. Someone like me, who is a coffee-slurping addict and a former Marlboro addict can start his own business - ALL of you can the same thing! If you take advantage of all that America has to offer - there is NOTHING that you cannot accomplish.

.

To my regular customers, you absensce turns from minutes into hours, and days for years and your abscence from me turns into ages. I truly miss all of you. I have tears in my eyes when I write this.

.

My mother and father are in New Orleans. After my mother's recent death, I decided to go back home. My father is in poor health as well. I will miss all of you in Colorado. Being a child of the 1980's, I mimicked my parent's actions despite everything that they taught me. And what you see is what you get.

.

There is an old expression - "If you want to meet another woman - you want to see their best personality. But, if you TRULY want to meet your TRUE LOVE - you only want to see HER! You just want to know about her lovely soul - good AND bad. Because they hold the keys to fit our locks and unleash our most intimate details." That is how I feel about all of you as my regular customers. I love all of you!

.

I suppose the word "happiness" would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by the word "sadness." When I open my new store in New Orleans, you all we be the first to hear about it.

.

GOODBYE, FAREWELL AND AMEN!!!!

We are in business to please you - the customer, but to the community as well.

Incidentally, because I have been asked occasionally about writing a collections of recipes about the items we sell in The Old Post Office Bakery...after several months I finally wrote and published a book of my own personal recipes. Included are some small personal stories ( something like the Monthly Blog thing) that I thought you would enjoy.
